Vertical Worsted Hat

Here it is on Ravelry
This is the worsted weight version of my vertical sock hat.
I usually use 35-45 grams of yarn for a hat of 21"-22" circumfrence.
It can be altered easily by the measurement instructions.
Choose any yarn and any needles you like and alter accordingly.
Any questions? Please feel free to message me through Ravelry.
My user name is knitmileofdoom. Have fun!

My gauge was 5 stitches to the inch.
I used size 8 (5mm) needles

Note: all slipped stitches are knitwise with yarn in back
RT: K2tog, keep both st on needle, k1 into back of first st

Cast on 20 (or 4")
Wedge one:
1: sl 1, knit to last st, inc 1 (by knitting into the front and back of the st)
2: sl 1, knit all
Repeat Pair one until you have 36 st (or 7")

Set up rows:
1: sl 1, knit 19 (or one st before your 4"), RT turn
2: sl 1, knit all

Wedge two:
3: sl 1, knit to one stitch before the gap, RT turn
4: sl 1, knit all

Repeat set up rows and pair two five times(or until hat is desired circumfrence).
For a bigger hat, you could knit another wedge, or add a few plain knit rows in
between wedges (on the 7” stitches).
Cast off, seam, do happy dance!
